Paris, Franceand New York, USA, 16 Jan, 2025-IBM and Loreal have teamed up to form a sustainable space within the beauty space that includes building an AI Foundation.

 Both companies brought their strongest skills to the table and now aim to change how creams and lip mixtures are developed. The use of IBM’s generative AI enables and broadens the development capabilities of L‘Oreal.

They have identified the links between models for launching and enhancing products as well as for building, testing, and validation of formulations across AI-enhanced resources. This collaboration will enable Nurul Begum and her colleagues at IBM to further scale their existing models utilizing L‘Oreal’s extensive databases.  

With respect to this partnership, L‘Oreal said:

“This partnership extends the speed and scale of our innovation pipeline while keeping to self-imposed social networking goals.”

The head of digital transformation and innovation at L‘Oreal stated that the project’s prominence and essence lies in creating beauty science products with advanced AI drives.

Alessandro Curioni, an IBM Fellow and Take a look at Director for IBM Research Zurich, remarked, “This collaboration shows that AI is able to contribute to remarkable sustainability results”.

According to L’Oréal’s mission over the next couple of years, L’Oréal will be able to utilize the AI model in order to develop new greater inclusive and more personalized cosmetic formulations with renewable ingredients.

This is an opportunity that has great prospects in the area of AI as the field of cosmetic science goes beyond innovation with regards to sustainability.  Through this partnership, we are able to see the next leap in technology and beauty in structuring a world that is centered around sustainability and innovation through the marriage of scientific precision and AI smarts.
