IBM Launches AI Agent Builder, Hybrid Integration at THINK 2025
ARMONK, N.Y., 6TH MAY, 2025 – At this year’s THINK event, IBM announced a potent and hybrid-ready AI-driven lineup for unlocking generative AI at the enterprise scale. The offerings enable companies to build AI agents in less than five minutes and realize up to 176% ROI through intelligent integration and automation.
Global enterprises are being challenged with scaling AI across fragmented hybrid cloud environments, and with that, IBM offers watsonx Orchestrate, a platform with integrations for 80-plus enterprise apps, along with a growing Agent Catalog that features 150+ prebuilt tools. The new platform can rapidly operationalize AI using domain- and utility-based agents, strong orchestration, and observability.
“The era of AI experimentation is over. Today’s competitive advantage comes from purpose-built AI integration that drives measurable business outcomes,”
said Arvind Krishna, Chairman and CEO, IBM.
“IBM is equipping enterprises with hybrid technologies that cut through complexity and accelerate production-ready AI implementations.”
In a bid to remove integration bottlenecks, IBM introduced webMethods Hybrid Integration that automates connectivity across apps, APIs, events, and cloud services. Independent Forrester research projects great results, including a 40% downtime reduction and 67% time savings on mundane projects.
IBM is also advancing its watsonx.data platform to unlock the value of unstructured enterprise data with AI-driven insights, orchestration, and a modular data lakehouse.
When paired with its recent DataStax acquisition and integration with Meta’s Llama Stack, IBM empowers clients to build high-performance generative AI systems at scale.
Finally, IBM unveiled LinuxONE 5, capable of handling 450 billion AI inference ops/day, offering cutting-edge AI accelerators, enhanced security, and up to 44% lower TCO over x86 systems.
Together, these launches position IBM as a foundational partner in the next wave of enterprise AI transformation.
