MemryX and Variscite Join Forces to Redefine Edge AI Innovation
MemryX Inc., a leading provider of AI accelerators for edge devices, yesterday announced a strategic partnership with Variscite, a world leader in System on Module (SoM) solutions. This collaboration is expected to improve performance, optimize efficiency, and simplify AI deployment for industrial and edge computing applications.
The alliance enables the development of intelligent edge devices that can be built with the least latency in addition to optimizing power with the best conditions for developers. Integrate MemryX’s AI accelerators and Variscite’s SoMs and build ML models while reducing the time needed by half, maximizing processing efficiency for complex tasks. The deployment process has speeded up with streamlined technical integration, leaving ample time to work on innovations instead of concentrating on integration.
Advancing Edge AI Technology
Keith Kressin, MemryX CEO, commented on the partnership saying “Partnering with Variscite allows us to bring our high-performance AI accelerators directly to the edge, empowering developers to build smarter and more efficient devices. This collaboration underscores our commitment to simplifying AI deployment across diverse applications.”
MemryX started this collaboration through the successful plug-and-play integration of MemryX accelerators with Variscite’s i.MX 8M Plus SoM, a solution that features a built-in NPU for better AI performance. This integration includes the entirety of Variscite’s product portfolio, including i.MX 93 and i.MX 95-based SoMs. The partnership will enable developers to develop cutting-edge AI and ML solutions optimized by MemryX technology on a versatile and scalable platform.
According to Ofer Austerlitz, vice president of business development and sales at Variscite, the deal “provides the strategic importance of collaboration with MemryX’s AI accelerators integrated into our SoMs, which enhances our AI/ML solutions to empower customers with powerful plug-and-play scalable AI capabilities. This partnership is at the heart of our mission to deliver cutting-edge solutions meeting the emerging needs of the edge computing market.”.
It addresses industries such as industrial automation, healthcare, and video management systems. The solution provides real-time processing and decision-making at the edge, allowing industries to develop smart systems that quickly respond to conditions in an efficient manner.
It allows better predictive maintenance and quality control with real-time sensor data processing in the case of industrial automation. This collaboration can advance diagnostics and monitoring solutions that would require instantaneous analysis at the point of care. Video management systems can benefit with the integration of advanced AI capabilities for real-time surveillance and analytics.
Developers will have all the tools from MemryX as well as all the technical support needed to assure a smooth integration and lower time-to-market of AI-enabled products. The complexity in using all these tools shall be at the minimum so developers can extract the best benefit of the MemryX-Variscite platform.
Live Demonstration at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025 Among the highlights of this collaboration, one will be demonstrated at CES 2025, January 7–11, in Las Vegas. A live demo of Variscite’s i.MX 8M Plus-based SoM, in combination with the MemryX M.2 Module, will be presented in MemryX’s Palazzo Suite (50-819). This demonstration showcases the smooth blending of MemryX and Variscite technologies that will promise to revolutionize edge AI deployments. In sum, MemryX and Variscite set the stage for a smarter, more efficient edge AI. This partnership solidifies their positions in the market of edge computing but, above all, provides a robust, efficient, and scalable platform to innovate across industries for developers. Such collaborations are required in the face of ever-growing demands for real-time intelligent systems as edge AI continues to grow.
