Oracle Launches AI Centre in Singapore for SE Asia
Singapore, 13th March 2025 – To accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in the region, Oracle opens its AI Centre of Excellence in Singapore. Â
The center aims to bring innovative ideas to life by allowing organizations to benefit from advanced cloud and AI resources. Singapore’s Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry, Dr. Tan See Leng commented faster workforce transformation is critical: Â
“Economically, to remain competitive, it is necessary for us to deploy an agile and adaptable workforce capable of taking full advantage of modern technologies.”
Garrett Ilg, Oracle’s Executive Vice President for Japan & Asia Pacific, also spoke at the event and discussed the importance of the center’s contribution to the region’s development stating,
“The Oracle AI Centre of Excellence will enable small and large businesses, and individuals, across Southeast Asia to leverage advanced cloud and AI services.”  Â
The center encompasses comprehensive training, testing, and transformation environment:
- Training: Organizations will have access to Oracle University and other companies sponsored sessions and certifications where they can assist with the newest advancements in AI and cloud technologies. This aligns with Oracle’s goal of helping students and professionals with digital skills in Singapore by 2027.Â
 - Experimentation: Companies can explore new advancements in AI through self-service IoT or cloud technologies, enabling them to experiment with autonomous AI, AI analytics, generative AI, machine learning, and AI agents in virtually any public sector, healthcare, financial, or telecommunications service.Â
This effort builds on Oracle’s legacy of serving governments and enterprises in Southeast Asia, further demonstrating its commitment to innovation through AI in the region.
