MILAN, ITALY,13TH MAY, 2025-UniCredit and Google Cloud have entered into a 10-year strategic partnership to enhance and install the bank’s new-age digital infrastructure across 13 core European markets.

The agreement, signed with a Memorandum of Understanding, has given a significant boost to UniCredit’s initiative to spearhead the new age of AI-powered banking.

The collaboration will see UniCredit migrating its key applications and old legacy systems to the secure and scalable infrastructure of Google Cloud.

This migration is also one of the enabler activities in the digital transformation agenda of UniCredit, which aims at the homogenization of operations that are quicker in delivery and more innovative across the bank’s vast footprint.

“This strategic partnership with Google Cloud is a pivotal step in our strategy to be the bank for Europe’s future,”
